About BIEMS and its uses:

BIEMS is a biological activator
designed to increase the activity and reproduction of bacteria in liquid and solid waste, any system of dirt, grease or waste disposal will benefit from the addition of BIEMS NOC to accelerate the biochemical destruction of waste material.

BIEMS is from natural sources
is non toxic and easy to use. It naturally allows normal cleansing processes to be accelerated, when introduced into a system it quickly promotes the situation where natural cleansing can take effect.

BIEMS is a complex solution
of amino acids, vitamins, trace elements, minerals, it contains thiamine riboflavin p-aminobenzoic acid, and many other substances required including biotins, amino acids, phosphorus, sulphur, inorganic salts etc.

BIEMS has many uses
for all forms of grease pollutants, odourous compounds, wastewater purification. For cleansing of built up grease from walls or grease traps, milking sheds, water tanks etc. Removing odours from waste discharge, sludge beds, effluent ponds, sewage lift stations, septic tanks, refuse trucks, compost piles, marine bilges, drains, urinals.

Bioremediation in odour control
is the most effective form of natural decomposition of waste. Aerobic bacteria digest the waste and oxidise it into low molecular weight, harmless and essentially odourless components. Bioremediation accelerates the rate of biological decomposition using natural processes, and provides sufficient oxygen for complete oxidation of the odiferous substances.

Bioremediation uses modern
molecular and bacterial control technology and is becoming more viable and cost-effective than conventional means for treating both waste water and waste solids and can result in considerable savings in labour, plant and machinery costs, and at the same time utilise natural processes rather than artificial techniques which leave hazardous wastes.

Where BIEMS came from

BIEMS stands for Bioremediation in environmental management systems.

Frustrations came from mechanical engineering practices to deal with odours, not working or not resolving issues.  The costs factors that clients were facing to solve issues of sulphides, poor bod levels and of course odour.

Thinking outside the square, BIEMS looked for alternative means to resolve issues – where there was limited technology or in depth engineering skill base.

Realising that nature could solve these issues naturally, harnessing the right compounds could bring about a natural environmental solution to a biological problem.

It was the adaption of natural enzymes and acids into a cocktail which is known as bioremediation.

The pain our clients (and probably you) have

Gary Lord was faced with clients that couldn’t resolve their issues with major odour problems caused by inefficient waste water systems.  Which were due to old technology, others were faced with growth problems whereby strain on the network increased as much as three fold (and still growing!).

The capital costs of traditional engineering solutions were astronomical so Gary went on a search for (in typical kiwi fashion) an outside the box solution.
This is how BIEMS was born, in partnership with colleagues around the world Gary Lord pulled together their collective intelligence to make a robust bioremediation solution.
